"I'm the one you see Dancing in the yard"

There are times that I feel giddy and my heart is over flowing with happiness.
I took a walk around the yard today after being cooped up in the house with a bad case of the Flu.  Our weather changed this past two days... we went from the 90's to the 60's and it was glorious out!
As I walked around I almost fell over with joy!
My Papaya had fruit sprouting for the first time.

Look at this beauty!

I don't know anything about growing Papaya so I'll have to do a bit of research.  But I do know they get pretty big and will change from green to a reddish color when they are ready to pick.
I can't wait!
I have three plants.  One is very tall and has not given me fruit in the 4 years it's been there so last year I bought two more young trees.
This new bud is only about two inches.
Wonder if I need to cover the fruit with a net? Will the birds or bugs want to eat holes in them?  I think I need to do a bit of reading on how to grow Papaya.

But this piece of fruit is about 4" in length.

If your in the neighborhood and see this crazy lady dancing in the yard,
"That would be Me"

 I'll be joining Tootsie @
Fertilizer Friday

Outdoor Wednesday

Unalaska, Alaska

It's amazing the wonderful things one finds on a beach.

This is a dried,   basket ball size, piece  of wood, from years of tossing in the sea.   My son found while stationed in Dutch Harbor, Ak  the past two weeks.
As you all may know,  Dutch Harbor is where the program "Deadliest Catch" is filmed... a very cold part of the nation.
His CG duties took him there.
It's going home with him as a souvenir.

It looks like it might make a great Wrens nest but if I know my son it will grace a table in the living room.
I told him since I'm a rock collector,  to send on a box of those wonderful rocks.

Hold on weather until his plane is up!
Fair Winds to my boy as he flies out tomorrow for home in Juneau.

I wanted to share the upcoming event on 'Swagbucks'
If your not already saving SB's, now is the time to start!
Just click on the above Swagbucks banner and get your tool bar to join in.
I've noticed many bloggers now sport the Swagbucks banner on their pages  but for those of you who do not know about this site check it out!

I have been earning Swagbucks for over a year now by using the Swagbucks Tool Bar to do my internet searching, I've turned  my points into cash to use on  I can't tell you how many free items I've been able to buy since starting with this wonderful site.

They way the Fall Classic works is simple

There are four  ways  to earn that count, and each one scores a different number of points for your team:

Search win is worth 1 point;

 Earning from a Task is worth 2 points;

Complete and earn from Trusted Surveys and you'll score 3

Earn from Special Offers or buy a Daily Deal and your team
 gets 4 points.

Of course, you have to join a team first!

American Swag or National Bucks registration will be open
until noon on Wednesday, October 26th, but you can start earning for

your team as soon as you're drafted.

Just complete as many of the activities listed above as

possible and come back to the scoreboard page to check on

your team's progress and do a little friendly trash talking

with the other team!

You'll have until Wednesday, November 2nd to score those

points.  After that, every member of the winning team who

scored at least one point for their team will get a bonus of 25

Swag Bucks, and every member of the runner-up team who

scored at least one point for their team will earn 10 Swag

This sounds like a lot of fun and I'm on the "National Bucks" team.  Besides, I need more Swagbucks for my Holiday Shopping!
